The United Nations Civil Military Coordination Officers Course (UNCIMIC) has been successfully conducted by the IPSOTSL which was sponsored by the Global Peace Support Operations Initiative (GPOI). The Commandant of the IPSOTSL, Brigadier PI Pathiratne has conducted the opening address. The course was held from 16 July to 27 July 2018 with the participation of 25 student officers including 22 local officers and 03 foreign officers. Local officers were comprised with 15 from Army, 02 from Navy and 05 from Air Force. The foreign student officers were comprised with 01 from Cambodia, 01 from Indonesia, 01 from Mongolia. The GPOI instructor from USA together with local officer Instructors from Sri Lanka Army have conducted lectures and shared their knowledge and experience during the course in various subjects related to the duties of civil military coordination in United Nations Peacekeeping Missions. Closing ceremony was graced by the commandant of IPSOTSL.
