A special Christian religious proceeding with the participation of Officers and Other Ranks serving at the RVAPL together with several distinguish guests was held on yesterday (14 Mar 2018) under the guidance and instructions of Brigadier Senaka Dassanayake , Commandant – RVAPL, in memory of former Financial Adviser to the RVAPL, Mr Anton Samarasinghe who passed away on few days ago in Canada.

This commemorative event was held at 4.00 p.m. onwards on 14 (Wednesday) at the Holy Cross Church at Gampaha in order to pay respect to the memory of late Mr Anton Samarasinghe, who gave a remarkable service by providing his professional knowledge voluntarily, to uplift the RVAPL from 1996 to 2015. Similarly, the factory automated software system of RVAPL is one of the significant donations he made during his tenure as the Financial Adviser

Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd ) Upali Gajanayake- a senior member of RVAPL Director Board, Brigadier Gamini Wickramanayake , Former RVAPL Commandant, Mr Priyan Samarasinghe - close relative of late Mr Anton Samarasinghe and several others at the invitation of Commandant – RVAPL attended the occasion as distinguish guests.

Several key appointment holders including Deputy Commandant, Factory Manager, Human Resource Manager together with few other ranks of the factory were also participated in the event.
