In a moment of pride and professional recognition, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, officially conferred the rank insignia on the newly promoted Brigadier K A S J Kodithuwakku USP ptsc on Tuesday, 20th May 2025.
The ceremonial event, held in a dignified yet modest setting, marked a significant milestone in Brigadier Janaka Kodithuwakku’s distinguished military career. Currently serving as the Commander Plant Engineer Brigade, Brigadier Janaka Kodithuwakku was honored for his unwavering dedication and commendable service to the Sri Lanka Army.
Following the formal proceedings, a warm and cordial interaction took place, during which Brigadier Janaka Kodithuwakku expressed deep appreciation for the guidance, mentorship, senior leadership and steadfast support extended to him by the Colonel Commandant.
