COMMEMORATING SAPPER LEGENDS: GET-TOGETHER OF FORMER COLONEL COMMANDANTS OF THE CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS – 2025

A distinguished gathering of former Colonel Commandants of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers took place on 3rd May at the Regimental Officers’ Mess. This notable event brought together senior leaders who have made invaluable contributions to the Corps and the Sri Lanka Army.

The event was organized under the guidance of Major General Lanka Amarapala, RWP RSP ndc psc, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers. His vision and dedication to fostering camaraderie and preserving the Corps’ legacy were instrumental in the event's success.

This gathering served as a meaningful platform for reflection, fellowship, and the strengthening of bonds among the senior officers. In recognition of their leadership and dedication, each former Colonel Commandant received a specially designed memento. This symbolic gesture highlighted their lasting impact on the Corps and expressed gratitude for their unwavering commitment.

The evening was filled with shared memories, camaraderie, and mutual respect. It provided an invaluable opportunity for the current leadership to engage with their predecessors, gain insights, and reaffirm the shared traditions and values that continue to guide the Corps.
