The eighth phase of the series of multidisciplinary medical camps was conducted covering the Puttalam District at the 58 Infantry Division Headquarters on 21 October 2025, with the participation of approximately 2,000 disabled war heroes, retired personnel and next of kin of fallen soldiers, providing them with medical care and assistance.

As part of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit’s (ASVU) ongoing welfare initiatives to support the civilian community, renovation work commenced at the National Hospital for Respiratory Diseases in Welisara on 25 October 2025. The project is coordinated by Dr. Rasika Perera, President of the Ministry of Defence Seva Vanitha Unit and carried out under the guidance of Mrs. Swendrini Dissanayake, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit.

With the aim of improving the living standards of the soldiers serving in the Sri Lanka Army and civil employees, the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) organized a donation programme under the gracious participation of Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Army, and Mrs. Swendrini Disanayake, the President of the ASVU on 09 October 2025.
