Mrs. Sunita Dwivedi, President of the Indian Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) and the spouse of the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Indian Army, together with the spouses of Diplomatic Representatives of Sri Lanka to India, had a cordial meeting with Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), at the official residence of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army on 07 January 2026.

The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) conducted a dry ration packs distribution programme on 01 January 2026 at the Kaduwela Urban Council premises for 50 staff members of the Kaduwela Urban Council garbage recycling section who were affected by adverse weather condition in the country.
