The Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW-SVB) conducted a school items donation programme for the students of Pelpita Junior School, Gampaha, on 23 July 2026, under the guidance of Mrs. Nimali Kodithuwakku, Chairperson of GW-SVB.
The event was graced by Major General K.M.V. Kodituwakku, General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment The Gemunu Watch, as the Chief Guest.
The welfare initiative benefited 50 primary school students from Grades 1 to 5. Each student received a school bag, exercise books and other educational materials. The donation, valued at approximately Rs. 170,000.00, was generously sponsored by Chef Mrs. Nilupa Warnakulasuriya, proprietor of Lotus Kitchen in Italy, together with Mrs. Roshini Manoja.
Members of the GW-SVB, senior officers, officers, other ranks, the Principal, teachers and students participated in the event.
