Following the conceptual layout of Mrs. Nandani Samarakoon the President Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch (SLEME-SUV) a special Bodhi Pooja Pinkama and Dhamma Sermon to invoke blessings for the fallen, differently-abled and in service War Heroes, their families and citizens in the country was held on 19 January 2024 at Sri Bhodirajarama Temple in Panagoda.
Most Venerable Rajakeeya Panditha Bambarande Vajirananada Thero Chief Incumbent of Kandegala Temple and the master of Sri Rahula Girls’ School, Malabe conducted the Bodhi Pooja Pinkama and Dhamma Sermon.
In line with the same event, white robes were distributed among the Other Ranks of 1st Battalion of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and their spouses who attended the pinkama and sermon by the President Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch.
Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, the President Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch, senior Officers and senior members of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch, family members of the Other Ranks serving in 1st Battalion of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers were also participated in the religious event.
Troops of 1st Battalion of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers extended the much required sponsorship for the success of the event.
