MIC-SVB Extends Support to Needy Families and Differently-Abled Children

Military Intelligence Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (MIC-SVB) extended assistance to 65 needy families of fallen War Heroes who served in the MIC. The initiative took place during a simple ceremony held at the Regimental Centre, Karandeniya, coinciding with the 31st Anniversary of MIC.

During the ceremony, MIC-SVB offered gift vouchers valued at Rs. 7500 each to the 65 identified families, aiming to alleviate their financial burdens and provide them with essential resources. Additionally, to empower the future generation, cash scholarships worth Rs. 5000 each were donated to three differently-abled children of MIC soldiers. MIC-SVB decided to initiate this monthly cash donation for duration of one year.

Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, Chief of Staff and Colonel Commandant of MIC, Mrs. Dilupa Peiris, Chairperson of MIC - SVB, senior members of MIC-SVB, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
