The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch (SLA-SVB), organised the Sinhala and Hindu New Year festival on 05 April 2025 at the Major General Gratiaen Silva Grounds in Panagoda.
Major General K.V.N.P Premaratne RSP USP psc, the Adjutant General of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the SLA, together with Mrs Vindya Premaratne, the Chairperson of the SLA-SVB, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The festival included traditional games and activities, including kotta pora (pillow fighting), kana mutti (pot breaking), tug-of-war competitions, bun-eating, balloon-blowing competitions and many more.
SLA-SVB also organised a trade fair, offering a variety of goods and products to attendees. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, civil workers and their families took part in the celebration.
