Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army concluded his official visit to India from 10 to 15 June 2025.
Mrs. Swendrini Dissanayake, the President of Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) also participated in the visit.
During the visit, the President toured several welfare centres, starting with Asha School, which caters to children with special needs. She also looked the crafts made by these children. The visit continued to the Aahwan Project, which focuses on items crafted by spouses of Indian Army personnel, and concluded at the Vishwas Skilling Centre, governed by Asha School. These institutions are managed by the AWWA Committee, which supports the welfare of Indian Army families.
