Mrs Apsara Peiris, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch (SLEME - SVB) relinquished her appointment on 03 June 2025.
During the event, a sum of Rs. 165,000.00 was donated to the son of a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer currently serving under 1 SLEME. This financial assistance is intended to support a bone marrow transplant surgery scheduled to carry out at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children in Colombo.
Additionally, in appreciation of her outstanding achievements in sports, Miss Nethumini Umasha Rathsarani, daughter of a Non-Commissioned Officer serving at SLEME Headquarters (Colombo), was presented with a special gift. She had recently participated in a Taekwondo championship held in Japan and emerged victorious.
