The Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW-SVB) hosted the "Seva Vanitha Sisu Abhiman - 2025" scholarship awarding ceremony on 22 June 2025 at Paradise Hall, Regimental Headquarters – Gemunu Watch, under the guidance of Dr (Mrs) Dilrukshi Wimalaratne, Chairperson GW-SVB. The event aimed to honour the academic achievements of children of GW personnel.
During the programme, six students who excelled in the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination 2024 by obtaining three "A" passes were awarded scholarships. Laptops and tablets were also presented to them.
Major General W.B.J.K. Wimalaratne RWP RSP, the Director General Infantry and Colonel of the Regiment GW, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and members of the GW participated in the event.
