Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP-SVB), laid the foundation stone for the proposed Multipurpose Welfare Complex at the Regimental Headquarters of the SLCMP in Polhengoda on 22 June 2025.
The event was graced by Mrs. Swendrini Dissanayake, the President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) as the Chief Guest.
Upon the arrival, the President of ASVU was welcomed by Mrs. Iresha Perera, the Chairperson of SLCMP-SVB and members of the SLCMP-SVB.
At an auspicious time, Mrs. Swendrini Dissanayake, the President of the ASVU, ceremonially laid the foundation stone for the proposed Multipurpose Welfare Complex.
Later on, the President of ASVU donated wheelchairs to two SLCMP personnel in need. Subsequently she presented a gift voucher to a civil employee, as a part of a broader initiative benefiting 58 such employees across SLCMP establishments.
Additionally, the ASVU President donated essential furniture and equipment to the SLCMP-SVB.
Major General U.L.J.S Perera RSP USP ndu psc, the Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the SLCMP, Senior Officers, Officers, Members of SLCMP-SVB and Other Ranks participated in the event.
