ASVU Hosts Lunch for Troops of Welfare Institutions

The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), under the guidance of Mrs Swendrini Dissanayake, the President of ASVU, organised a lunch programme for the troops serving at welfare institutions affiliated to ASVU, on 04 July 2025 at Sunflower Village, Mulleriyawa.

Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

The Chief Guest, along with the President of ASVU, engaged in a cordial interaction with the troops.

The gathering was further enhanced with a calypso music session. Following the interaction, the Commander of the Army addressed the troops, commending their valuable contributions and appreciating their service and commitment to welfare operations.

As part of the event, mango plants were distributed to the troops with sponsorship provided by Alliance Finance.
