Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) – Seva Vanitha Branch(SVB) organised a welfare programme at Demunnewa Primary School for students from low-income families on 30 August 2025.
The event commenced with the planting and distribution of mango and coconut saplings, contributed by the Armoured Corps Training Centre, 3 SLAC and 7 (V) SLAC. A children’s movie screening followed, after which lunch was served to the students and teachers.
Each student was gifted a package containing books, stationery and clothing, while their families received ration packs with essential items. The programme concluded with the distribution of sweet packs to the students.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Sumangali Pathiravithana, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAC–SVB). SLAC–SVB members, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other ranks participated in the event.
