VIR – SVB Donates Medical Equipment to Diyatalawa Base Hospital

The Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (VIR – SVB) donated medical accessories and equipment to the Base Hospital, Diyatalawa, on 10 September 2025.

A washing machine, 30 mattresses, wheelchairs and other electric equipment valued at 12 lakhs were handed over during the programme, sponsored by Sri Lankan citizens residing in Australia.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Damayanthi Bandaranayake, Chairperson of the VIR – SVB. Major General K.A.W.N.H Bandaranayake USP, Commander, Security Forces (Central) and Colonel of the Regiment, VIR, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks, participated in the event.
