SLAOC-SVB Extends Financial Assistance to Injured Civil Staff Member

Financial assistance was extended to Mr. G. Geeth Udaya Kumara, a civil staff member who had sustained injuries on three separate occasions in 1996 at Paranthan, 1999 at Vavuniya, and 2006 at Muhamalai due to LTTE attacks during his service.

The presentation took place during the monthly meeting held at the Regimental Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Dombagoda, on 13 October 2025. The Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAOC-SVB), Mrs. Shirani Nirmaleen Wijekoon, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Following the meeting, the Chairperson and members visited the plantation area near the Officers’ Mess to explore possibilities for future welfare and environmental initiatives.
