SLLI–SVB Conducts Donation Programme for Civilians Affected by Adverse Weather

The Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI–SVB) conducted a humanitarian assistance programme on 06 January 2026 at Abaliyadhdha Temple in the Nuwara Eliya District, in line with the concept of Major General Y.A.B.M. Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry and under the guidance of Mrs. Darshani Yahampath, Chairperson of SLLI-SVB.

During the programme, clothing and drinking water were distributed among 155 families, comprising approximately 550 beneficiaries, affected by adverse weather conditions. The initiative was coordinated by Colonel H.B.T. Priyankara, the Commandant of the SLLI Training School.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and beneficiaries participated in the event.
