SLSR–SVB Conducts Donation Programme for War Heroes and Civil Servants Affected by Adverse Weather

Under the guidance of Mrs. Yamuna Abeykoon, the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSR–SVB), a Cargills voucher distribution programme was organised on 17 January 2026 at the Regimental Centre, Ambepussa, for War Heroes and civil servants of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment who were affected by the adverse weather conditions in the country.

Major General A.M.C. Abeykoon RWP RSP USP ndc, the General Officer Commanding of the 54 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mrs. Yamuna Abeykoon, the Chairperson along with members of the SLSR–SVB and several Senior Officers, also participated in the event.

During the programme, Cargills vouchers valued at Rs. 7,500.00 each were distributed among 22 War Heroes and civil servants as a gesture of support and goodwill.
