Felicitation Ceremony for Past Chairpersons of the CR - SVB

A felicitation ceremony honouring the dedicated service of past Presidents of the Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (CR - SVB) was held on 17 January 2026 at the Officers’ Mess of the Regimental Centre Commando Regiment, Ganemulla.

Former Chairpersons Mrs Indrani Chandrawansa, Mrs Sujeewa Nelson, Mrs Rosetta Nugeera, Mrs Anuja De Silva, Mrs Subhashini Rajapaksa and Mrs Nimali Ranatunga were honoured in recognition of their invaluable contributions.

During the occasion, commemorative tokens were presented as a mark of appreciation while memories of their tenure were shared.

Adding colour to the ceremony, song and dance performances were presented by the Sri Lanka Army cultural team, followed by a tea reception.

Mrs Samindi Wickramaratne, Chairperson of CR–SVB, Major General K.H.M.S. Wickramaratne RSP, Master General of Ordnance and Colonel of the Commando Regiment, senior officers, officers and other ranks participated in the event.
