The Military Intelligence Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (MIC-SVB) ceremonially inaugurated its Orchid Nursery on 23 January 2026.
The newly established orchid poly tunnel accommodates approximately 2,000 orchid plants and is expected to begin generating income within three months. This initiative has been introduced as a sustainable fund-generating project aimed at further strengthening and supporting future welfare activities of the MIC-SVB.
The event was graced by Major General M.J.R.S. Medagoda RSP USP ndc psc IG, Colonel Commandant of the Military Intelligence Corps and Mrs Dilrukshi Medagoda, Chairperson of the MIC-SVB, with the participation of members of the MIC-SVB, senior officers, officers and other ranks.
