The Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAWC-SVB) conducted a donation programme on 5 January 2026 at the Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama, providing essential medicines for patients undergoing residential treatment.
The initiative was carried out under the guidance of Major General H.H.K.S.S. Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Colonel Commandant of SLAWC and under the supervision of Mrs. Sachetha Hewage, Chairperson of SLAWC-SVB.
During the programme, essential medicines valued at Rs. 300,000.00 were donated with the objective of supporting the ongoing treatment and care of patients receiving medical attention at the hospital.
In parallel, financial assistance was extended to a close relative of a serving female soldier currently undergoing medical treatment, as well as to a female civilian staff member. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the event.
