The Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLASC-SVB) conducted “Wirudaru Saviya” programme to distribute school books and educational equipment to the children of personnel serving under 5 SLASC.
The programme was held on 21 February 2026 at the Service Corps School with the participation of Mrs. Ajanta de Silva, the Chairperson of SLASC-SVB and Major General K.T.P. de Silva RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps.
A total of twenty children benefited from the programme. Following the distribution, lunch was provided. Later the children, together with their families, paid homage at the Sri Maha Bodhi and the Ruwanwelisaya.
Members of the SLASC-SVB, the Commanding Officer of 5 SLASC, along with Senior Officers and Officers, were present at the occasion.
