The Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (CR-SVB) conducted a laptop donation programme on 12 February 2026 at the Maroons Legacy Hall, Ganemulla.
During the ceremony, eleven students of Commando Regiment personnel who excelled in the G.C.E. A/L Examination were awarded medals and certificates and were presented with laptops. The donation of laptops was made possible through the initiative of the Principal and the management of UTS College Sri Lanka.
In addition, laptops were also presented to the Commando Regimental Headquarters, Commando Battalions, the Commando Regiment Training School, the Army Seva Vanitha Unit and the CR-SVB.
The event was held under the guidance of Major General K.H.M.S. Wickramarathne RSP, Master General Ordnance and Colonel of the Regiment of the Commando Regiment and under the supervision of Mrs. Samindi Wickramaratne, Chairperson of CR-SVB.
Ms. Alison Hiscox, Principal of UTS College Sri Lanka, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and children attended the event.
