The Mechanized Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (MIR-SVB) conducted a cash donation programme at the Regimental Centre of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment on 25 January 2026.
During the programme, cheques worth Rs 25,000.00 each were distributed among 48 families of MIR personnel, including serving and retired members, as well as civilian workers affected by Cyclone Ditwa.
The event conducted under the guidance of Major General A.H.A.D. Ariyasena RWP RSP USP psc, Colonel of the Regiment of MIR and under the supervision of Mrs Mahesha Ariyasena, Chairperson of MIR-SVB.
Members of MIR-SVB, senior officers, officers, other ranks, retired MIR personnel and civilian workers attended the event.
