In line with International Women’s Day, a special Women’s Day celebration programme was held on 08 March 2026 at the “Laya Leisure Kukuleganga” premises. Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), presided the event.
During the evnet, several recreational games were conducted for the participants. In parallel with the programme, 15 pregnant lady officers currently serving in the Army were presented with valuable gift packs containing essential items. Subsequently, special gifts were also distributed among all members who participated in the programme, followed by lunch.
Members of the ASVU, senior officers and officers participated in the programme.
