The Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAOC-SVB) conducted a special programme in line with International Women’s Day on 07 March 2026 at the Regimental Centre of SLAOC, under the guidance of Mrs. Nirmalee Wijekoon, Chairperson of SLAOC-SVB.
During the programme, an insightful lecture titled “Using Wellness Equipment to Enhance Everyday Health and Wellbeing” was conducted by Dr. Chandrika Rajapaksha, providing valuable knowledge on maintaining physical and mental wellbeing. This was followed by an introduction to beauty treatments and a practical facial training session aimed at self-employment opportunities, conducted by Herbline (Pvt) Ltd.
Furthermore, donations were made to the Sukitha Children’s Home, Galpatha. Members of SLAOC-SVB, officers and other ranks participated in the programme.
