The Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (CR-SVB), in collaboration with the Divisional Secretariat of Aranayaka, the 572 Infantry Brigade and the 8th Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, conducted a donation programme on 20 April 2026 at the Aranayaka Divisional Secretariat, under the guidance of Mrs. Randima Perera, Chairperson of CR-SVB.
During the programme, essential dry ration packs and clothing items were distributed among 88 affected families. The initiative was sponsored by Mr. Yasantha Dias, the Melbourne, Australia representative of the Trico Group of Companies, together with members of the Sri Lankan community in Melbourne.
Major General H.D.L.S. Perera RWP RSP ndc, Deputy Commander of Security Forces (West) and Colonel of the Regiment of the CR, members of the CR-SVB, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and government officials attended the event.
