The Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAWC-SVB) conducted a Chickpea and Ginger Tea Dansala, followed by the display of Vesak lanterns, in celebration of Vesak Poya Day on 31 May 2026 in front of the Regimental Centre of SLAWC, Borella, under the guidance of Mrs. Sachetha Hewage, Chairperson of SLAWC-SVB.
Major General H.H.K.S.S. Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Adjutant General of the Army and Colonel Commandant of the SLAWC, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and over 1,500 civilians participated in the events.
