GW-SVB Conducts a Donation Programme

Under the guidance of Mrs. Shihani Abeywardena, Chairperson of the Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW-SVB), a donation programme was conducted on 19 May 2026 at the Regimental Headquarters premises.

During the programme, four dry ration packs were distributed to three serving Army personnel and one civilian staff member experiencing severe financial hardships. Furthermore, school equipment and stationery were donated to the children of three retired Army personnel and a cash donation of Rs. 25,000.00 each was credited to the respective children’s personal bank accounts.

Members of the GW-SVB, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, civil staff members and children participated in the event.
