The Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLASC-SVB) conducted a programme to distribute school bags and books to the children of Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps on 08 June 2026, under the guidance of Mrs. Ajantha de Silva, Chairperson of the SLASC-SVB.
The programme, conducted under the theme “Ranaviru Abhinandana Pooja”, was supported by Mr. Prasad Lokubalasuriya together with the Alumni Friends of Royal College Colombo 07, Old Scholarly Friends of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and Sri Lankan well-wishers living around the world.
In parallel with the programme, a floral tribute was held in remembrance of fallen war heroes, followed by an almsgiving.
Major General K.T.P. de Silva RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (West) and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and members of the SLASC-SVB attended the occasion.
