The Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch (CES-SVB) conducted two welfare and educational assistance programmes under the guidance of Mrs Dilrukshi Dharmapala, Chairperson of CES-SVB.
As part of the initiatives, on 15 June 2026, the Chairperson personally donated diapers sufficient for three months to the neurologically disabled son of a CES personnel during a simple ceremony held at the Regimental Headquarters of the Corps of Engineer Services.
Further, a programme was conducted on 26 June 2026 at the 7 (V) Engineer Services Regiment Camp premises, Athurugiriya, where DSI gift vouchers worth Rs. 5,000 each were distributed among school children to support their educational needs. A total of 22 children benefited from the initiative.
