The Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (CR – SVB) conducted the second session of its household items and essential packs distribution programme for Commando Regiment personnel affected by Cyclone Ditwah on 27 June 2026 at the Commando Regimental Centre.
During the programme, 46 affected Commando personnel received essential packs valued at approximately Rs. 30,000 each, while 23 personnel were provided with household items and essential packs worth approximately Rs. 50,000 each.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Randima Perera, Chairperson of the CR – SVB, with the generous support of Mr. Yasantha Dias, the Melbourne (Australia) agent of the Trico Group of Companies and the Sri Lankan community in Melbourne.
Major General H.D.L.S. Perera RWP RSP ndc, Commander, 1 Corps and Colonel of the Regiment of the Commando Regiment, Senior Officers and members of the CR – SVB attended the programme.
