Children of Viru Kekulu Preschools in Anuradhapura, Diyatalawa, Panagoda, Ipalogama, Manning Town, Galle and Pallekele participated in a series of dengue prevention programmes conducted on 03, 07, 09, 10 and 14 July 2026 at their respective preschool premises.
The programmes featured Shramadana campaigns and educational sessions on dengue prevention, enabling children to actively participate in maintaining clean surroundings while gaining a basic understanding of dengue and its prevention. The initiative aimed to help children identify mosquito breeding sites, promote the importance of maintaining a clean environment, and encourage healthy hygiene practices from an early age.
