The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSR-SVB) conducted a Scholarship Donation Programme for the children of War Heroes on 25 July 2026 at the Regimental Centre of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), Ambepussa.
During the programme, scholarship assistance was awarded to 10 children who secured over 160 marks at the 2025 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, 10 children who obtained nine ‘A’ passes at the 2025 GCE (O/L) Examination, and six children who secured three ‘A’ passes at the 2025 GCE (A/L) Examination.
Accordingly, a total sum of Rs. 475,000.00 was allocated as scholarship grants to support the educational aspirations of these children.
Major General A.M.C. Abeykoon RWP RSP USP ndc, Master General Ordnance of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, senior officers, officers, members of the SLSR Seva Vanitha Branch, and other ranks attended the event.
