The Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch (SLEME-SVB) conducted a Medical Equipment Donation Programme on 24 July 2026 at the SLEME Regimental Headquarters Lecture Hall, under the guidance of Mrs Shyama Hettige, Chairperson of SLEME-SVB.
During the programme, essential medical equipment was donated to 33 actively serving differently abled soldiers to support their mobility and enhance their quality of life. The donation included 19 Commode Wheelchairs, 03 Standard Wheelchairs, 06 Elbow Crutches, 04 Underarm Crutches, 03 Quad Canes (4-Leg), and 03 Walkers.
Senior officers, officers, members of SLEME-SVB, and other ranks participated in the programme.
