The Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI-SVB) conducted a Financial Donation Programme on 22 July 2026 at the Regimental Headquarters of SLLI-SVB to support students’ academic pursuits and ensure the uninterrupted continuation of their higher education, under the guidance of Mrs Dilani Solangaarachchi, Chairperson of SLLI-SVB.
As part of the programme, a financial donation of Rs. 100,000.00 was granted to facilitate the purchase of a laptop computer for the daughter of Corporal G. L. R. Udaya Kumara of the 3rd Battalion of SLLI. Having gained admission to pursue higher education at the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, she received this assistance to support her academic activities and enhance her learning experience.
Members of SLLI-SVB, senior officers, officers, and other ranks participated in the programme.
