 Anuradhapura ‘Viru Kekulu’ Kids Show Their Talents in Annual Concert

The annual concert at Anuradhapura ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-school, managed by the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) took place on Thursday (16) at the Anuradhapura Youth Center Auditorium with the participation of a large gathering of teachers and parents.

Mrs Chandrika Senanayake, President, ASVU graced the occasion as the Chief Guest at the invitation of the pre-school administration.

A colourfully-dressed kid, offering a flower bouquet welcomed the Chief Guest at the entrance to the auditorium premises.

Afterwards, the day’s Chief Guest was invited to light the traditional oil lamp, before the Welcome speech was made by a student of ASVU pre-school, Anuradapura separately set the tone to the inauguration of the day’s agenda.

During the concert, pre-school kids staged their talents by performing several items such as Welcome Dance, Band Display, Gummy Bear, Baby Butterfly, Folk Dance, Red Indian Dance, Koskola Dance, Elephant Dance, Deep Deep Dance, Sinhala & English dramas and songs, different cultural feats, and Peacock Dance , etc attracting the crowd.

Mrs Dananjani Karunasekara, Vice President, ASVU and Chairperson, Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Priyanganee Jayasundara, Chairperson, Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Thanuja Dias, Chairperson, Military Intelligence Corps (MIC) Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Priyadarshani Sirinaga, Chairperson, Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Anusha Fernando, Lady-In-Charge, Viru Kekulu pre-school project, Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, Lieutenant Colonel Nalin Mahavithana, Staff Officer 1,ASVU, Senior Officers and parents of pre-school children attended the occasion.
