 ‘Mihndu Seth Medura’ Inmates Greet Visiting Nepali Army Chief’s Spouse

Mrs. Rita Chhetri, the spouse of the visiting Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Nepali Army, accompanied by Mrs Roshani Hamal, the spouse of Major General Ishawar Hamal and Mrs. Bahbana Thapa, the spouse of Colonel Anup Thapa made a visit to the Mihindu Seth Medura (MSM) at Attidiya where a group of about 42 permanently dependent War Heroes are housed as part of their itinerary in Sri Lanka on Thursday (18).  

Mrs. Rita Chhetri, on arrival at the ‘Mihindu Seth Medura’ was warmly received by Director Rehabilitation Brigadier Shantha Thirunavukarasu in the company of Colonel Pradeep Gunawardana, Commandant, ‘Mihindu Seth Medura’ and a wheelchair-ridden inmate offering a sheaf of betel.

Afterwards, a comprehensive briefing on roles and tasks of the (MSM) was delivered to the visitors by the Staff Officer 1 at the wellness resort. 

Later, Mrs. Rita Chhetri together with Director Rehabilitation Brigadier Shantha Thirunavukarasu and accompanying distinguished guests shared views with the inmates visiting several wards.  

During the interactive session, entertaining music played by the Army beat group enabled the inmates also to join the occasion. 

Mementos were also exchanged as tokens of memory and goodwill during their stay. 

The visiting lady left her signature with compliments in the ‘Mihndu Seth Medura’ Visitors' Book as a formality before her exit from the place.
