11 DIVISION PROVIDES BUSES FOR THE STUDENTS IN KANDY.

The Army on the instructions of the Commander of the Army assisted the civilians by making Army buses available, specially for students who face the GCE (A/L) examination due to the strike launched by the railway employees over some trade union issues.

Accordingly, at the request of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), Army personnel enabled the students to travel from Kadugannawa and Pilimathalawa towards Kandy on the Direction of the Commander security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG and the supervision of the General Officer Commanding of 11 Division of the Security Forces (Central), Major General T J Nanayakkara RWP USP ndu

Consequently, 06 Army buses belong to 11 Division and its under command Training Schools were provided as a solution for the prevailing transport problem in the Kandy District and the mediation of the SL Army to assist the civilians at the hour of need was highly appreciated by the public.
