11 INFANTRY DIVISION BIDS FAREWELL TO OUTGOING GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING

The 11 Infantry Division bids farewell to the outgoing General Officer Commanding, Major General T.C.M.G.S.T. Cooray RWP RSP USP ndc psc, on Saturday, 05 December 2025, at the Division Headquarters.

The senior officer was accorded a Guard Turnout followed by a Guard of Honour presented by troops of the 5 (V) Battalion, Sri Lanka Light Infantry. To mark the occasion, the GOC posed for a group photograph with the officers and other ranks of the Division. Later, the General Officer Commanding addressed the troops and interacted with officers and other ranks during the all-ranks tea.

The farewell proceedings continued on 06 December 2025, during which the officers and other ranks of the 11 Infantry Division Headquarters conveyed their heartfelt gratitude and extended their best wishes to Major General TCMGST Cooray RWP RSP USP ndc psc for his future endeavours.
