11 Infantry Division celebrated its 14th anniversary amidst religious and military formalities under the guidance of Major General R M M Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding, 11 Infantry Division during 15 and 16 February 2024.
The military formalities on the anniversary day made a formal Guard Turnout and a ceremonial Guard of Honour to General Officer Commanding, and followed by the troops address.
Afterwards, adding significance to the 14th Anniversary, the General Officer Commanding inaugurated the newly constructed Warrant Officers and Sergeants’ Mess building and vested it in the troops. All troops at the headquarters interacted at the All Rank lunch. The anniversary celebrations concluded with the Cricket Match and the Musical Show held on the following day.
