12 INFANTRY DIVISION TROOPS SUPPORT BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN

Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces - Central, Major General K A W N H Bandaranayake USP and on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding, 12 Infantry Division Major General H T W Vidyananda RWP RSP USP, troops of the 12 Div, 122 Bde, 581 Bde, 20 SLSR, 12 GR, 5 VIR, 6 MIC and 10 (v) ESR, voluntarily donated blood during a campaign held at District General Hospital Hambantota on 05 July 2025. The initiative was conducted in collaboration with the Red Cross Society of the Royal College Colombo, together with 12 Infantry Division as part of their 46th Annual Blood Donation Campaign.

The event drew the voluntary participation of nearly 3x104 soldiers from the 12 Infantry Division and civilians in the AOR donated blood during the programme. Medical teams from Blood Bank of the District General Hospital, Hambantota contributed to the successful execution of the event.
