The upcountry railway operation line run from Colombo to Badulla was barricaded due to a earth slip near Diyatalawa railway station during the evening hours as a result of the continuous showers.
In response to the situation, troops belongs to Security Force Headquarters Central headed towards the location and cleared the earth mounds and rocks to ease off the train operations along the line.
