At short notice, troops of 5th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry swiftly responded to douse wildfires in Kahatagolla mountain range, Ududumbara during the day light on 03 August 2023.
Following the directives of Commander Security Force (Central), Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, troops made their best effort to control the wildfire which seen destroyed acres of vegetation in the mountain area.
