Army personnel assisted to conduct a Dhamma discussion at the premises of Asgiri Maha Pirivena in Kandy on 08 July 2018. Troops under command to11 Division of SF (Central) were tasked to assist this religious programme on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG.
Troops cleaned the premises of pirivena day prior to the event and also they arranged the alms-hall where the lunch was offered to 1000 Buddhist Monks after the discussion.
With the contribution of 04 officers and 130 soldiers of 11 Division and its under command formations this religious programme was concluded successfully. Therefore, the Buddhist Theros at the pirivena extended their blessings towards the Commander of the Army, the Commander Security Forces (Central) and all the other participants who truly contributed this religious programme to make it a success.
