The National War Heroes Commemorative Day was celebrated in remembrance of the fallen war heroes at the War Heroes Monument, Badulla on 15 May 2018 from 0915 hours to 1155 hours with the participation of the Acting Governor of Central Province, honorable P B Dissanayake and the Chief Minister of Uva Province, Minister Chamara Sampath Dasanayake.
Further, the Officers of Army, Navy, Air Force and Police also participated in the mentioned event to pay tribute to the fallen. Accordingly, representing the SL Army 2 officers and 31 other ranks from 3(V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Army Band, 1 officer and 15 other ranks from Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police and Bugle players also participated.
