CENTRAL COMMANDER MAKES HIS MAIDEN VISIT TO 12 INFANTRY DIVISION

Major General Rohitha Aluvihare RWP RSP ndu psc who recently assumed duties as Commander Security Force (Central) made his maiden visit to 12 Infantry Division in Hambanthota from 06 to 08 February 2024.

During the visit the commander called on several military establishments and prominent religious destinations under the formation of 12 Infantry Division. On 06 February, he paid homage to the sacred Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Dewalaya and Kirivehera Temple. On the following day, the visiting commander was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding and troops of 12 Infantry Division, and interacted during the troops address and all ranks tea party. On the same day the commander paid a visit to 12th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment at Palatupana.

The security force commander concluded his official call, after visiting Hambanthita Harbour, 18th Battalion The Gemunu Watch at Malgavila and Headquarters 121 Infantry Brigade at Kumbukkana.

General Officer Commanding 12 Infantry Division, Commanders of 121 and 122 Infantry Brigades, and the Senior Staff Officers at Security Force Headquarters (Central) accompanied the security force commander during the official call on.
