CENTRAL TROOPS CONTROLLED A SUDDEN FIRE

The responsible area of Security Forces (Central) is liable for many natural disasters. Consequently, on 22 July 2018 also a wild fire occurred in Beragala Kanda in the Haputale Divisional Secretariat. This area is located in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central). A team consisting of one officer and twenty soldiers reached the place immediately to take every possible action to douse the wild fire, yet they were not able to douse it completely due to the seriousness of the spreading fire. Consequently, on 23 July 2018 also they reported to the place and neutralized the fire
