Troops based in Badulla District rushed to fight wildfire occurred at Aselapura area in the evening hours on 20 July 2023
On the directives of Commander Security Force (Central), Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc the troops deployed in Badulla District under 2nd Battalion Sri Lanka Rifle Corps made rapid response to successfully control the wildfire burnt over 5 acres of flora. No damages to human lives or property were reported
